I haven’t had the opportunity to grab my camera and take shots for a while, and I really do miss taking photos. I also have the most adorable nephew (biased? Me?) and when I got the opporunity to watch over him for an hour, I just had to pick up my camera   These images are OOC (Out of camera) so I’ve done no editing to them whatsoever.

I’m really quite pleased with how these have turned out, especially with all the cloudy and dull weather we’ve been having. I seriously love my lens!

Sadly, last Wednesday we lost our beloved Staffordshire Bull Terrier “Buster”. He was 12 years old and we all loved him to pieces and picked him out when he was just 6 days old. Our other dog “Taz” misses him loads. Taz is just 2 months older than Buster.

Luckily, I have some cute photos of Buster including some of him as a puppy on our old film camera, and I went about making my dad an awesome Fathers Day present.  He loved Buster dearly, as he was his running partner until he got too old to go for a long run anymore.

So I got on the computer and put together a storyboard of photos of our dog, took it to Asda (along with some smaller prints for my mini book of Buster) and got a frame for this:

He absolutely loved it, and I’m so pleased   It sits in the home gym (my old bedroom lol!) next to the running machine, so dad can go running and have Buster there with him.  It’s things like this, and looking over the photos to remember him… that’s what it’s all about for me.

Sunshine generally means at nan’s house that the family hangs out in the front garden   And we were especially lucky to have all the kiddies with us too!  It also means I’m generally all over the place following the kids around; drawing, colouring in, reading books and playing in the tunnel…

First there was drawing with Morgan, we were both drawing together. It’s always easy to remember how old Mo is, as she’s 20 years younger than me   She’s getting so big and grown up now!

Then it was watching Liam colour in the book

and out into the garden to read with my God daughter Emily – a book about summer (I think she wanted ice cream!)

Lauren came out but has bad ears so her nan had to put the hood up as it was quite windy!  She showed us her cute sparkling shoes.

Kenzie also brought along his play tunnel and played around with it

After that, all the other kids came out and hilarity ensued as Liam and Kenzie tried to get in it at the same time. Once those two were playing, the others soon followed

If you’re not a regular to my personal blog, then you’re probably not aware that every Saturday since I was born (and in fact, this has been a tradition since before I was born), I go and see my nan. Sadly my gramp passed away on 17th February so it’s not quite the same now but even more important to us that my family go to my nan’s and enjoy each others company – and fun for me as I get to capture “us”

Leanne colouring in. She was doing it with Kenzie, but he disappeared a few times so she worked on her own picture. I did one myself in there back a few months ago lol!

And poor Felix, who had to get shaved as she was getting to knotty.  She was my gramp’s baby
